Rian Johnson Talks About Under The Skin

It divided many audiences not just in UK, but accross the world, to Irish filmmaker Rian Johnson (Looper) Jonathan Glazer's Under The Skin is the second best film this decade. It's hard to believe only 2 years ago Scarlett Johansson was on the 'manhunt' around the streets of Glasgow, an alien with one purpose but a narrative vision that made Glazer's film unique and extra special.

It's common knowledge Johnson's love for sci-fi genre is no hidden sceret and he's shared many stages around the world talking about his passion. Even sharing his admiration for the likes of Terry Gilliam, Christopher Nolan, it's that big he was once in line to direct a Star Wars spin-off film. In this video in a chat BFI Southbank London  introducing Under The Skin for BFI he chats about the film, his experiences. He also talks about that mesmering haunting score from Micha Levi.

Last week Under The Skin made it's network premiere on Film4 but more recently they have worked with the Glazer and Design hero Neville Brody working on an ambitious project for their main channel Channel 4. Rebranding the channel's indents creating 4 new idents, feverishly unique even Kubrick inspired. Back everything up Levi has also created an original yet again organically beautiful score for each ident which don't show the channel's logo.
