Before Last Summer I slighty knew who Vincent Cassel was until I watched the amazing Mesrine:Death Instinct and Mesrine: Public Enemy Number 1 based on the life of reknowned French criminal Jacques Mesrine (out on DVD now in UK&Ireland, released in cinema this summer in usa) it opened my eyes to this very talented actor.
Everything from Ocean's 12 & 13, derailed, eastern promises,Irreversible, Brotherhood of the wolf, even a voice part in shrek and the movie that gave him some notice outside his native France Le Haine. Cassel is a major player in french cinema and with Mesrine movies he will become a bigger name in hollywood, so below is the first teaser trailer for his next french movie NOTRE JOUR VIENDA (Our Day Will come).
The movie does look like it'll be another hit for Cassel starring along side Olivier Bartélémy whom Cassel played with in Mesrine double bill and Sheitan in a very explosive intense movie which does seem to suit Cassel's acting style better. The movie has been directed by Romain Garvas and the movie first came to our attention as REDHEADS, whatever name this looks good stuff!!!
Movie scheduled for a 24th September release in France possibly with a limited release in the uk/irish arthouse cinemas...
