You may have asked yourself where did Joesph Gordon Levitt go after his much acclaimed performance in Nolan’s Inception? The answer is he’s an narcissistic adult-entertainment blogger in the follow up to the Women In Trouble ELEKTRA LUXX which stars Carla Gugino (Suckerpunch) play the titular role as a recently retired porn star who finds out she’s pregent. Her life is turned upside down but things could change when she’s given a propersition by seducing a woman’s fiancee.
If you enjoyed Women In Trouble Im sure you’ll enjoy this as most of the movies cast is in this one,this movie has a number of little stories that spin off of the pregency but most of all its a sex comedy with lashing of soap oprea goodness in it. Marley Shelton, Adrianne Palicki,Emmanuelle Chriqu, Malin Akerman and Timothy Olyphant all star with the movie aiming for a American release of March 11th no word yet on a British release.
Recently retired from the adult film industry, superstar Elektra Luxx (Carla Gugino) is pregnant with the child of late rock star Nick Chapel. She is trying to make ends meet by teaching a community college sex education class aimed at housewives when a figure from her past, flight attendant Cora (Marley Shelton), approaches her with a proposition. In exchange for the (stolen) lyrics to Nick Chapel’s last record, all of which is about Elektra, Cora needs Elektra to seduce her fiancee. Elektra reluctantly agrees to do this favor, setting in motion a series of hilarious events which will see her come face to face with detectives, sex bloggers, emotionally unstable neighbors and the Virgin Mary herself as she wrestles with the prospect of motherhood and tries to become a person of substance.
