Wilson Yip's A CHINESE GHOST STORY (also Called A Chinese Fairytale) or its proper Chinese title

Sien nui yau wan has released a new trailer with English subtitles. If you thought Hollywood was the only place movies get remade, rebooted or whatever you call it, well Asia can just be as bad though there remakes have been more Hollywood movies remade for Asia like Ghost or What Women Want. This movie is however a Chinese movie from 1987 created by Tsui Hark/Ching Siu-tung but now 24 years own Yip now has the advantage of modern technology at his disposal making the stunts.action scenes a little easier to look more realistic.  he cast include Louis Koo(Who I believe was the face I saw in every thing from Pepsi, shampoo, tea billboards when I was in China), Liu Yifei, Yu Shaoqun, Fan Siu-Wong, Kara Hui and Lin Peng with the movie getting a Chinese release date of April 22nd. Ning is a tax collector who spends a night in a supposedly haunted villa. Instead of obviously grotesque creatures, Ning meets an enchanting maiden named Sian. But Sian is a ghost bound to the netherworld, and worse, her master is a soul-sucking demon with an extremely long tongue! Ning is slated to become the demon's next meal, but some humanity remaining in Sian compels her to keep him alive. Romance blossoms, and Ning resolves to help Sian. He even enlists the aid of a Taoist master to save Sian and vanquish the evil demon. But even if the duo succeeds, everlasting love may be only a fantasy.    sourceFilmsmash
