One of my other regrets along with not getting to see Rubber at the Glasgow Film Festival was a chance to watch Jason Eisner’s HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN. The perfect tonic for a slice of 1980′s style Grindhouse fun and if your going to make something that is a homage to the decade you need to have someone who is icon of the decade none other than Rutger Hauer! One of the big regrets when you miss something at a film festival is actually not getting to see the the at all but thanksfully the movie is getting a release in the UK probably thanks to the positive reviews the movie has got via the film festivals not just in this country but worldwide.
Dont know who exactly will be releasing the movie in UK & Ireland but for North America its Magnet Releasing and via Apple they have released a fresh new offical trailer along with a featurette into to the movie which has the director and the star of the movie tucked in bed chatting about the flick. As we were ficing this post up we have came across a new One sheet poster via the good folks at Dreadcentral, oh you lucky people!

A train pulls into its final station and a Hobo hops from a freight car. He has dreams of a fresh life in a new city, but finds himself trapped in an urban hell instead. A city where criminals rule the streets, landlords evict single mothers in the middle of the night, and where the city’s crime boss, The Drake, reigns supreme with his sadistic, homeless-killing sons, Slick & Ivan. Through the chaos, the Hobo comes across a shop window displaying a second hand lawn mower and a shotgun, and decides it’s time to cut the grass, make the city beautiful and start a new way of life. But after witnessing the brutality that encompasses this city, he realizes the only way to make a difference in this place is with a gun in his hand and two shells in its chamber.
