With The Glasgow Film Festival taken up most of my time last week and the week before I've sort of neglected the next big film festival SXSW which kicks off next week, so ill do my best to round up the trailers, news, for the festival. Lets start with the trailer for Dave Boyle's(White On Rice) SURROGATE VALENTINE a indie comedy about a actor travelling the road with a failing musican. Boyle is never a filmmaker who uses gimmickery but movies as a platform to promote a issue which is dear to him like cultural clashes within American society. Asian culture is a big theme for this charming looking little movie which has Goh Nakamura playing himself as the failed musican and also stars Chadd Stoops as the actor and Lynn Chen as Nakamura's love interest.
