If the end of the world is near what better way to enjoy those lasting moments in the comfort of your car? Well its not really end of the world BELLFLOWER is the story of 2 young people who spend there time making flamethrowers and weapons of mass destruction and there car Medusa has been converted to sprout flames like a flamethrower, hoping for a global apocalypse to make way for there mad max style gang.
Bellflower was an instant hit at Sundance and SXSW and because of that the movie is getting a summer release in USA thanks to Oscilloscope. What we really like about this is the cool music, visual style and most of all itsa microbudget proving once again you dont have to spend big to look good.

Bellflower follows two friends as they venture out into the world to begin their adult lives. All their free time is spent building flame-throwers and weapons of mass destruction in hopes that a global apocalypse will occur and clear the runway for their imaginary gang “Mother Medusa”. While waiting for the world to end, their call to excitement comes unexpectedly when one of them meets a charismatic young woman and falls hard in love. Quickly integrated into a new group of friends, they set off on a journey of betrayal, love, hate, infidelity and extreme violence more devastating and fiery than any of their apocalyptic fantasies.
