CANNES 2011: Teaser Trailer For Peter Chan's WU XIA (Swordsmen)



As the Opening night of 64th Cannes Film Festival comes to a close we still see the trailers flying into Cinehouse HQ, this time from Peter Ho-Sun Chan's WU XIA (Swordmen). Like every big festival there's alway a flurry of international movies distribution rights be settled especially in Cannes, Sundance and Berlin all been the main festivals deals are struck and before this movie has even made its première The Weinstein Co has struck a deal. This is the first big buy with TWC buying the world rights out side French speaking Europe along with Asia and already they have plans for a 2011 cinematic release and guess what first rights to remake this! TWC will be calling this Dragon when its released.

WU XIA stars 2 of Asia big guns Donnie YenTakeshi Kaneshiro  and is actually a remake of The Shaw Brothers The One Armed Swordsman and when Yen's name appears of the cast list you know you will be treated kick ass martial arts action not forgetting the stunning cinematography, by one of Asia's leading Directors.
