I'm sure everyone can remember at time when they were in their teens you hated everyone especially your parents. You where a nightmare to them as you believed the whole world was against and you really wanted to rebel and thats what the 2 teen girls from
LOLLIPOP MONSTER do. Ari and Oona are both from dysfunctional families with both handling their teen angst in very different ways, Ari sleeps with older men whilst Oona takes hers out in cutting things. Both find some sort of solace in each other's companies until something extraordinary threatens that friendship at roots level.
Lollipop Monster takes inspiration everything from the punk generation, even elements of Trainspotting, Ghost World incorporating an interesting music video visual style making the movie slightly different from your typical coming of age angst story. Check out the trailer for the movie below and
