Trailer For SXSW Hit movie THE MYTH OF THE AMERICAN SLEEPOVER

It was a special Jury prize winner at the 2010 SXSW Festival and March 2010 we posted the festival trailer, now 14 months on THE MYTH OF THE AMERICAN SLEEPOVER is now getting a ling a limited release by IFC. The indie movie is a sweet coming of age drama from David Robert Mitchell following 4 young people on the last day of summer holidays before they head back to School for another gruesome year . Its a story of first love, the first kiss and the frustrations of been a teen, I know it sounds corny but e don't get alot of straight forward coming of age stories usually there in the middle of a mysterious monster attacking, alien invasions or the your dying and you meet at a funeral. This movie has its accolades and a successful tour of last years  festivals including AFI, Cannes to proves its a movie worth catching and to celebrate the July 22nd release (USA) watch the new trailer.

In the tradition of free-wheeling tributes to adolescence like DAZED & CONFUSED, the film follows four young people (a cast of brilliant young newcomers in their feature film debuts) on the last night of summer - their final night of freedom before the new school year starts. The teenagers cross paths as they explore the suburban wonderland they inhabit in search of love and adventure - chasing first kisses, elusive crushes, popularity and parties - and discover the quiet moments that will later resonate as the best in their youth.
