Wednesday evening saw the opening of Film 4 Summer screening at Somerset House in London. The films who came along to the fantastic surrounding were treated to UK Premier and what a premier they watch, Pedro Almodovar‘s THE SKIN I LIVE IN with the iconic filmmaker in attendance along with the movie’s leading lady Elena Anaya.
From the recent Spanish full trailer we do get a better sense of what the movie is all about (the teasers were intriguing though) the dark twisted plot which lays ahead of the viewer. It is always tempting to read a little more on what you may expect and its common knowledge there is a twist in the middle of the movie, yes you maybe confused but like Almodovar we ask you dont read too much as everything becomes clearer at the end. The Peoples Movie Pierre was fortunate last week to watch a press screening and he returned with a glowing report but refused to reveal anything more in the sake of ruining my own enjoyment apart from THE SKIN I LIVE IN will be one of the best movies you will enjoy this year!
