Watch The Red Band Trailer For Nicholas Winding Refn’s DRIVE

Day one’s flurry of Comic Con goodies are now arriving online and we start today with the Official Red Band Trailer for Nicholas Winding Refn’s DRIVE.

Since its world premier back in May, at Cannes, we’ve heard nothing but praise for this movie. So far we haven’t seen much on this, apart from 2 small clips which have been around since Cannes, but thankfully now we have some new footage in shape of a trailer and what we see is fantastic. DRIVE certainly looks tense, very slick and reeks of coolness and if you love the old 1970′s thrillers you are going to dig this. This movie will enhance Ryan Gosling‘s reputation as a top lead actor and with Logan’s Run not far off things are looking good for the young actor.

DRIVE is the highly anticipated feature from director Nicolas Winding Refn (Bronson, Valhalla Rising) adapted from the cult James Sallis’ novel of the same name by Academy Award® Nominee Hossein Amini (Wings of The Dove). Filmed in and around Los Angeles, the crime drama stars Academy Award® Nominees Ryan Gosling (Blue Valentine, The Notebook) and Carey Mulligan (An Education, Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps) alongside Golden Globe® Winner Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy), Emmy® Nominee Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Oscar Isaac (Body of Lies, Robin Hood) and Academy Award® Nominee Albert Brooks (Taxi Driver, Broadcast News). DRIVE is the story of a Hollywood stunt driver by day (Ryan Gosling), a loner by nature, who moonlights as a top-notch getaway driver-for-hire in the criminal underworld. He finds himself a target for some of LA’s most dangerous men after agreeing to aid the husband of his beautiful neighbor, Irene (Carey Mulligan). When the job goes dangerously awry, the only way he can keep Irene and her son alive is to do what he does best – Drive!
DRIVE received its world premiere in competition at the recent Cannes Film Festival where director Nicolas Winding Refn was awarded the best director prize.

DRIVE is due out in UK & Ireland on September 23rd (one week earlier in USA).
