Fans of Terrence Malick, whose grandiose Tree of Life (review) is still out in cinemas, will get a chance to revisit his seminal 1978 work Days of Heaven this September when a digitally restored cut will return to select UK cinemas.
The BFI says:
Widely recognised as a pinnacle of the golden age of 70s Hollywood filmmaking, Terrence Malick's foray into American pastoral has now been digitally restored, the subtle pictorial alterations supervised by the writer-director himself.
In selected cinemas across the UK from 2 September
One of those selected cinemas is the London BFI, and you can book tickets by clicking here.
Check out the trailer below, it's only a small indicator of the visual splendour offered in the film.
