t’s been a hectic day for myself outside the website, before I had to go out I was about to post 2 tv spots(coming in the next post or two) for Nicholas Winding Refn’s DRIVE and now I’m back Icon Distribution have just us the official UK trailer and poster which you can check out below.
The award winning Cannes Film festival flick is coming to the UK next month starring Ryan Gosling as the Hollywood stunt driver by day, getaway driver for hire at night, finds himself a target from some of Los Angeles criminal underworld when a job goes wrong after he agreed to look after a neighbour and her kid making him do what he does best Drive! Never been a fan of old school 1970′s thrillers but Drive seems to bring that coolness back to the thriller genre which has been getting a bit too action based, it looks sleek, contemporary and god damn sexy this movie will be Ryan Gosling’s one way ticket to the top of the A-list in Hollywood!
DRIVE also stars Carey Mulligan, Albert Brooks, Bryan Cranston, Ron Perlman, Oscar Isaac, and Christina Hendricks with the movie arriving in UK&Ireland on September 23rd (USA September 30th)
DRIVE is the highly anticipated feature from director Nicolas Winding Refn (Bronson, Valhalla Rising) adapted from the cult James Sallis’ novel of the same name by Academy Award® Nominee Hossein Amini (Wings of The Dove). Filmed in and around Los Angeles, the crime drama stars Academy Award® Nominees Ryan Gosling (Blue Valentine, The Notebook) and Carey Mulligan (An Education, Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps) alongside Golden Globe® Winner Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy), Emmy® Nominee Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Oscar Isaac (Body of Lies, Robin Hood) and Academy Award® Nominee Albert Brooks (Taxi Driver, Broadcast News). DRIVE is the story of a Hollywood stunt driver by day (Ryan Gosling), a loner by nature, who moonlights as a top-notch getaway driver-for-hire in the criminal underworld. He finds himself a target for some of LA’s most dangerous men after agreeing to aid the husband of his beautiful neighbor, Irene (Carey Mulligan). When the job goes dangerously awry, the only way he can keep Irene and her son alive is to do what he does best – Drive!
DRIVE received its world premiere in competition at the recent Cannes Film Festival where director Nicolas Winding Refn was awarded the best director prize.
