Watch the 3 Minute Trailer to Francis Ford Coppola's TWIXT

Check out this delightfully odd (and pretty long) sneak peak of Francis Ford Coppola's upcoming film Twixt. The footage, which was unveiled at Comic-Con in July, has an extremely low-budget, B-movie feel, which is mainly due to Coppola's insistence on self-funding his projects in order to achieve total creative freedom.

The film follows the fortunes of a struggling horror writer (Val Kilmer) as he becomes tangled up in a real life, small-town murder case, headed by an aloof police chief (Bruce Dern). Get the full description and watch the 3 minute trailer below:

A writer with a declining career arrives in a small town as part of his book tour and gets caught up in a murder mystery involving a young girl. That night in a dream, he is approached by a mysterious young ghost named V. He's unsure of her connection to the murder in the town, but is grateful for the story being handed to him. Ultimately he is led to the truth of the story, surprised to find that the ending has more to do with his own life than he could ever have anticipated.

Twixt will premiere at the Toronto International Film Fest in September.
