Gerardo Naranjo who previously directed the French New Wave influenced I'm Gonna Explode is back with Miss Bala, a high tempo look at the sordid reality of Mexican drug cartels from the point of view of an aspiring beauty queen who gets caught up with the gangs after surviving a brutal massacre.
The film which was executive produced by Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal is due for a limited release in the US on October 14th, whilst the UK sees it arriving at a later date of October 28th.
