Look Up! It's The American Trailer For Lars Von Trier's Melancholia

Last week Artificial Eye released the second trailer for the UK release of Lars Von Trier’s Melancholia which is heading our way at the end of the month on September 30th but for our American cousins they have a slightly longer wait of November 11th. Today Zentropa Entertainment the American distributor have released the first American trailer for the movie and you can catch the trailer out below.

 Despite Von Trier’s nazi jibes at Cannes it seems that outburst has only highlighted the fact his movie will be with us soon and fans & critics really only pay attention to the films he releases. You could put a mannequin doll at the press conference no one would appear shocked as its expected from the eccentric filmmaker. From outset of this trailer the thing that stands out right away is the movies gorgeous cinematography but what is the fascinating thing about a Lars Von Trier movie is trying to decipher it and understand it but that’s wonderful thing about him and intrigues us to check this one out!

 Melancholia stars Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland, Alexander Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, John Hurt, Stellan Skarsgård, Udo Kier and Jesper Christensen.
