GFF 2012: Jo Nesbo’s HEADHUNTERS Get’s UK Trailer

How ironic is this today I go watch a few press screenings for films been shown at The Glasgow Film Festival (starts tonight) that one of those films i've  just enjoyed the UK trailer is waiting in my mailbox, Jo Nesbo's HEADHUNTERS.

If you love your thriller novels you'll know Jo Nesbo very well and he will be the next big thing  and is part of the increasing line of Scandinavian writers who are conquering the world with their brand of dark unrelenting thrillers and perfect for those crime/thriller fans who are looking for something just  a little different from their generic midsummer murders or Miss Marple debacles. Many are calling him the next Stieg Larsson he could be he may not be as dark in content however his stories are just as gritty as Larsson's  but the popularity is there as this has been bought up by 50 countries with last years Berlin European Film market involved in a bidding war.

Headhunters is been released by Momentum Pictures in UK and starsAksel Hennie, Synnøve Macody Lund, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game Of Thrones), Julie R. Ølgaard, Reidar Sørensen and Kyrre Haugen Sydness. Hennie plays Roger Brown a successful job headhunter & art thief who comes up against his match Clas Grave a ex mercenary  who he's trying to set up as head of a company too. Nesbo maybe a name still unfamiliar to film fans but with the recent news that Martin Scorese will direct the film adaptation of The Snowman which is one of the Harry Hole series of books but with Headhunters coming on April 6th to UK&Ireland I think we'll be seeing much more of his work on the big screen!

You can catch Headhunters a little bit earlier as its playing a part of Glasgow Film Festival this weekend Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th, find out more here
