Kenji Kamiyama will be known with in the anime fandom as the mastermind behind Ghost In The Shell, Eden of The East and now the cult director returns with his latest feature 009 RE:CYBORG. Based on the Shotara Ishinomori's classic sci-fi manga which is due to be released in Japan in Autumn of this year. No word on a release here in UK&Ireland and if it does will probably be a home entertainment release sometime in 2013, you can pick up the manga now at your local comic book or book store.
The story follows a group of nine cyborgs, each of them created by a shadowy organization for use as weapons against humanity. The group turns on their creators to protect the population instead, using the powers given them to fight their creators.
