Whilst the UK hots up at the first look at Gareth Evans The Raid in Glasgow Film4 Frightfest (I have press preview Monday!!!) across the pond American cinephiles are buzzing about a film which pits teenagers against Hitmen, in THE AGRESSION SCALE. As part of the SXSW Midnight strand Steve C Miller's film is hotting up to be one of the much anticipated films of 2012 festival circuit and how the plot is been described is - 4 hitmen + $500,000 of stolen cash + 1 family = WAR. Wow! This sounds great think home invasion with a bit more horror thrown in,very 1980's inspired thriller which if out a few months earlier I could see this one playing Frightfest though it could still this August at the London Frightfest.
Check out the film's trailer which has been picked up by Anchor Bay, no release info just yet though this should play a little longer on the festival circuit before its released which will probably be direct to DVD. The film stars Fabianne Therese, Ryan Hartwig, Derek Mears, Dana Ashbrook, Jacob Reynolds, Ray Wise, and Joseph McKelheer.
