Trailer For UK Poltergeist Flick WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT

With next week's impending release of The Woman In Black which will probably be an success simply due to Daniel Radcliffe been lead actor, we're expecting a barrage of similar films. The films that usually come are either rip off's or Troma style parodies, sadly we do get film's that are good but may only be connected simply due to genre like UK indie WHEN THE LIGHT'S WENT OUT which actually looks very good, very creepy as well.

Pat Holden's film has recently made its world premier at Rotterdam film festival which is a festival renowned for its high quality selection of arthouse films however it also has a genre friendly reputation as well. The film is set in 1970's Yorkshire aparently based on a true story (which Im sure people will debate on)when a family moves into their dream home only to find that something hasn't left and befriended the 12 year old daughter of the family. It's a strong looking character driven story decent performances and doesn't look like a film with cheap thrills and I'm curious to check this one out!

WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT doesn't have a release date but your best chance to see it this year is via festival circuit. The film stars Kate Ashfield(Shuan of The Dead), Nicky Bell, Alan Brent, Martin Compston (disappearance of Alice Creed) and Gary Lewis (Gangs of New York).
