Watch The Oscar Winning Animated Short THE FANTASTIC FLYING BOOKS OF MR. MORRIS LESSMORE

Apart from the big awards withing the Oscars I'm always very keen to see who wins the animated short award and every year they never disappoint in the winner. Some of this years winner has one thing in common with The Artist, no dialogue from the characters so whilst one was no surprise the THE FANTASTIC FLYING BOOKS OF MR. MORRIS LESSMORE did surprise a few people but once you watch the short itself it's a worthy winner. If someone ever tells you books  are useless and don't get the imagination flowing then there barking up the wrong tree. This fantastic 15 minute short shows the power of storytelling as well as the inspiration from The Wizard of Oz, Hurricane Katrina even Buster Keaton which also shows off various animation techniques as traditional, 2D, CGI, Stop Motion.

Thanks to Thefilmstage the full short film is available online however if your a HD purist I-tunes has the film too though you'll have to pay for it, enjoy!
