Cine Asia Bringing The Jackie Chan Produced LEGENDARY AMAZONS To UK This May

If there's one country who love to embrace their history as well as films with female warriors it has to go to China. On May 14th CineAsia will bring the latest edition to the fiesty female warriors with the DVD/ BluRay release of Frankie Chan's LEGENDARY AMAZONS formerly titled Lady Generals Of The Yang Family. What will really sell this to cinephiles is its produced by Chinese/Hong Kong legend Jackie Chan, which has got me onboard this one.
The film is paying homage to the 1972 Shaw brothers 14 Amazons epic martial arts adventure set during the brutal wars between the Song and Xia dynasties. The film stars Cecilia Cheung (The Promise), Richie Jen (Accident) and Liu Xiaoqing (Plastic Flowers). The film has received mixed reviews however I'm giving this one a chance with Chan onboard and on the evidence of this trailer as well as been a sucker for all things Asian cinema I'll be watching this and guess what the film has arrived at Cinehouse HQ so look out for my review!
