Life is hard when you leave home into your new home, sometimes its great when you are sharing other times it can be a hard lonely experience especially when your on your own like the the main character in Tokyo Mujirushi Joshi Monogatari (Tokyo Nameless Girl’s Story). Starring Mitsuki Tanimura (Takashi Miike's Ace Attorney) a recent college graduate who is finding life hard trying to find a job as well as adjusting life on her own again living in the rapid demands of Tokyo a bustling 24 hour city after living with her then boyfriend Kameyama (Kensuke Owada).
As the film is based on a two part anthology manga of two girls living on their own for the first time we have another story running next to the above one of Saeko (Megumi Yanagi) a young woman working at a advertising agency living with her lazy sister Kaori (shuri). A year after Saeko met her boyfriend from work (Naoki Kawano) she gets a call from a woman, it's this part of the film that intrigues me, who is the woman and what news does she bring what looks like it'll turn Saeko's life upside down?
