Watch The Intense International Trailer For China Brothers CRAWL

There's not many films that leave a lasting impression on myself especially the past few years probably last years it was Lynne Ramsay's We Need To Talk About Kevin but this year it's got to be China Brothers CRAWL. The film is about a shady bar owner hires a mysterious hitman to commit a murder, but the plan backfires when a beautiful waitress is taken hostage.

I was fortunate to see the film at Film4 Frightfest Glasgow back in February met the brothers too and the festival was a diverse programme with some expected howlers and a few that disappointed after the great build up to see them but Crawl just captured the audience from the first moment . You always know when the film is going down a treat when you can virtually hear a pin drop everyone was silent, none of chatting when the movie was bad, everyone was glued to the screen . How to describe Crawl? It's a home invasion movie but one that has 2 strong inspirations The Coen Brothers Blood Simple with a big helping from Hitchcock, I can't remember what film make the sound of  silence so terrifying, backed up with a score even Hitchcock himself  would be proud off.

The Brother's have recently took the film to Cannes in the hope they'll get some distribution, no word on a UK distributor however an American distributor has picked up the film Epic Pictures Group and in the past week the film's American trailer has arrived online. Enjoy the trailer and as a extra bonus Ive also included the brothers Ben & Paul  interview they did at Glasgow with The Frightfest team.
