Earth To Echo New Trailer Is A Nostalgic 80's Style Found Footage Kids Film For Today's Kids



For those like myself grew up as kids in 1980's we do like to boast an aurora of nostalgia when we see film imitate the visual and story telling style from the decade. Earth To Echo con Delivers a throwback to that decade in shape of found footage film as if it was a Spielberg film for kids, watch the new trailer.

Everything from The Goonies, E.T ,Explorers, Flight Of The Navigator even JJ Abram's Super 8 you can easily see has inspired  Earth To Echo and I maybe in my late 30's our generation are still big kids at heart and do love a nostalgic ride. The film has the stereotypical 1980's premise: could of kids all friends, neighbourhood under threat step in your friendly alien to save the day.

This looks one big adventure, fun and as you'll see in the trailer we do get to see the alien, even with a host of unknown cast which as we know is the norm for this sub-genre. Earth To Echo maybe been pushed as a Kids movie the trailer does suggest there may be a dark twist so don't expect E.T to phone home.



Earth To Echo doesn't have a UK release date and if it does get released more likely will be a straight to DVD release. The films is getting a limited release stateside from 2nd July, the film stars Teo Halm, Brian “Astro” Bradley, Reese Hartwig and Ella Linnea Wahlestedt.

Synopsis

Tuck, Munch and Alex are a closely bonded trio of inseparable friends, but their time together is coming to an end. Their neighborhood is being destroyed by a highway construction project that is forcing their families to move away. But just two days before they must part ways, the boys find a cryptic signal has infected their phones. Convinced something bigger is going on and looking for one final adventure together, they set off to trace the messages to their source and discover something beyond their wildest imaginations: hiding in the darkness is a mysterious being, stranded on Earth, and wanted by the government.
