Next month the latest chapter of The Ip Man Series, Ip Man 3 arrives in UK for a limited UK cinema release. Today we get a look at the film's UK trailer and the legend of The Yip Man finds himself up against a very familiar face, Iron Mike Tyson!
Donnie Yen ignites the screen in a return to the role that made him an icon – Ip Man, the real-life Wing Chun grandmaster who mentored Bruce Lee.
In this explosive third installment of the blockbuster martial arts series, when a band of brutal gangsters led by a crooked property developer (Mike Tyson) make a play to take over the city, Master Ip is forced to take a stand. Fists will fly as some of the most incredible fight scenes ever filmed play out on the big screen in this soon-to-be genre classic.
After years of making cameos in a certain The Hangover franchise drowning in mediocrity but not matter how humorous this may look be it Tyson in serious mode, action fans will be glad to see 'The Baddest man on the planet' once again do what he does best...fight. The dialogue is minimal but action is amped up to 110% with Wing Chun showing why he was the legendary mentor of Bruce Lee. Ironically there is a glimpse of Lee (played by Danny Chan once again)in this trailer, the action is second to none, fast, frenetic, and with plenty of style.
Well Go USA are handling the UK release, their first venture into UK market and have set a release date of 15th January. There is a number of cinemas around the country hosting early previews on 24th December the day of the Hong Kong with Odeon Panton St,Odeon Manchester,Cineworld Birmingham Broad Street,Cineworld Sheffield,Cineworld Glasgow Renfrew,Cineworld Milton Keyes, Cineworld Enfield,Cineworld Cardiff (check the cinemas for exact times). The film also stars Jin Zhang,Lynn Hung, with Wilson Yip directing.
