No Happy Camping In The Trailer For Finnish Slasher In Lake Bodom Trailer

Every campers worst nightmare will come true this Summer when when Finnish cinephiles will fear camping with the release of slasher Lake Bodom. From the director of Finland's most successful box office home box office hit The Reunion (apparently sequel in the works) Taneli Mustonen the film was pitched last month at Cannes Film Festival and an international trailer has emerged online, check it out....

Lake Bodom (or Bodom as its called in Finland) is reconstructing a legendary campsite murder turns deadly when the girls decide to rewrite history.

Every camper’s worst nightmare came true at Lake Bodom in 1960 when four teenagers were stabbed to death while sleeping in their tent. As the years passed and the case grew cold, the unsolved mystery turned into an urban legend, a creepy campfire story passed from generation to generation.

Now, a group of teenagers arrives at the same campsite, hoping to solve the murder by reconstructing it minute by minute. As night falls, turns out not all of them are there to play.

Tonight… it’s girls against boys. Let the killing games begin.

With the an English subtitled trailer now released is a sign of the faith the team behind this film have in there project. Horror fans worldwide (like us) don't really care what country the film maybe  be from , if it's horror we'll watch. With the film based around real life murders that did happen around or at least one that has a mythology behind it always water our curiosities to see this.

It looks a change of direction for  the director whose The Reunion was a comedy drama. Could we be looking at a possible film for Horror Channel FrightFest this August? All will be revealed in the next few weeks when they announce the programme.

No word if any UK distributor picked up this film but if this is picked up for FrightFest this could be a FrightFest Presents release. Lake Bodom is set for a 19th August release in FInland and will star Nelly Hirst-Gee, Santeri Helinheimo Mäntylä, Mimosa Willamo.
