All A Board The Night Bus, Watch Trailer

Conflict doesn't choose its victims and in the Indonesian The Night Bus when a regular night service finds itself in the middle of a conflict thanks to an unexpected stowaway. Tensions rise even further when a force wants to keep the conflict running, check out the English-subtitled trailer.

A group of civilians share a bus ride to Sampar, a town full of natural resources. It is heavily guarded by the state army who is fighting against the rebel militias, who want freedom over their homeland.
Each person on the bus has their own task; seeking better jobs, fulfilling family needs, settling personal matters, or simply wanting to come back home. They think this would be another usual trip to the conflict area, but they do not realise there's a stowaway with a very important message to end the conflict.
His presence endangers all the passengers, as he is wanted by both forces, dead or alive. The situation get so tense, the people inside the bus have to survive the night literally dodging bullets.
They also have to face a darker, more sinister force, who don't want to the conflict to end. No one knows who will live and who will die.

When it comes to a regular source of Asian cinema we look towards China, Japan, Korea even India, but thanks to the likes of films from The Mo Brothers, Joko Anwar, even Gareth Evans with The Raids films, Indonesia is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with. Gone are the days of cheap production and amateur values which are now seeing the Asian country become a place to be reckoned with.

The above trailer does have English subtitles which is a sign this film wants to engage internationally. All looks good. No word on the release date for Indonesia or internationally.
