2009 was my year of movie education my route back into appreciating what is and what cinema has to offer.It was the year that Lars Von Trier entered into my vocabulary and when media wasn't talking about the obscurity of Von Trier it was Gasper Noe.
Cannes Festival 2009 Enter The Void hit the movie radar and its caused much debate with many people for qaulity, artistic talent but like Von Trier he does have a big following. I haven't seen any of his work to actually say it good or bad but what I've saw I can only described as very experimental as well sexually explicit, I know some critics may go as far as calling it pornographic. I am a person who gives all a chance, see the evidence then can judge the qaulity from there.
After the summer 2009 Enter The Void must dissapeared off the radar never to be heard until recently when IFC picked up the distribution rights for North America, as for UK I dont know if or when itll get some sort release i'll assume some run via indie/arthouse cinemas. May 5th is the French release date I now have a sneeky suspicion that uk & Ireland may at the moment see the movie via film festival circuit.
Apoligies for the cheesy post header of Strip tease(r), as you'll see from the short teaser its a nice little party with some naughty stripper pole dancing in a strip club in Tokyo, its like a friday night along Blackpool during the illuminations minus the rain of course!
