I really wanted to see this whilst it was shown at Edinburgh Film Festival but due to my adventures working in Greece and returning home when it was too late has angered me but the movie did only receive 'ok' reviews.
The movie in question is German Black Comedy SNOWMAN'S LAND directed by Tomasz Thomson in a movie style described as Coen Brother's style dark, unrelenting and vicously funny.
You can check the trailer after the break, sorry there's no subtitles but the movie does look good and if you love Coen Brother satire you will relate easy with this movie...
Hapless contract killer Walter has screwed up a hit badly, and he has to leave town FAST. Intent on keeping a very low profile, he agrees to take a job guarding Mr Berger's (a former underworld boss) house, in a remote area of the Carpathian Mountains, with his pal Mickey. Berger's wife Sybille turns up at the house unannounced, and shortly after, is killed in a freak accident. Fearing for their lives Walter and Mickey hide Sybille's body, but it's only a matter of time before Berger discovers his wife's fate, and a fight for survival begins for all parties involved.
