I spotted this a few days ago and quickly had a glance at it and believed it was only a cool looking music video but its actually a cool teaser trailer for a movie called BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW by Panos Cosmatos. The movie is set in 1983 and is inspired by the emotional backdrop of the Ronald Reagan era and childhood memories of midnight movies and saturday morning cartoons.
Visually this is stunning and the synth soundtrack by Black Mountain's Jeremy Schmidt gives the movie that haunting intriguing amotspheric feel. Been a kid of the 1980's in UK I can relate to the visual & audio stylings of the movie and with many of todays youngsters also inspired by sound and fashion of the generation maybe Beyond The Black Rainbow you may find entertaining.
Beyond the Black Rainbow is due to be premiered at the Whistler Film Festival canada Friday december 3rd, check out the synopsis & trailer after the break....
