Tonight at The Berlin Film Festival THE TURIN HORSE (A Torinói ló) the latest and last film from Hungarian Arthouse master Bela Tarr will be premiered.If you are a fan of the directors work you know you wont be expecting much in the trailer but what you do get is the filmmakers signature enigmatic long takes can be seen in this trailer and will be seen in full glory in the movie too.
The movie is shot in black & white which gives the movie its slight artistic edge and the trailer says it all amotspheric erie music like the organ which played in old silent movies with the camera panning onto a old lamp. THE TURIN HORSE tells the story of a rural farmer and his daughter who find their jobs and livelihood compromised when their work horse becomes ill. If your not a fan of Tarr the 2 1/2 hours running time may put you off but if your a fan of the filmmakers work or arthouse movies you will adore this.
