Watch The Trailer For MY BACK PAGES (Mai bakku pêji)



Nobuhiro Yamashita's MY BACK PAGES has had its trailer debuted on Yahoo's Asmik Ace Entertainment channel. The movie is based on the autobiographicl novel(“My Back Pages: Aru 60-nendai no Monogatari”) by Saburo Kawamoto set during the student protests at Tokyo University Japanese government’s tolerance of US involvement in the Vietnam War and using Okinawa as there base (and even today the Americans still have a presence), these protests where covered by Kawamoto when he was a young reporter.
Sawada (Satoshi Tsumabuki) plays a reporter who covers the protests by interviewing the protesters and when the tensions rises a level he meets a activist who calles himself Umeyama ( Kenichi Matsuyama) whose real name he finds out is Katagiri tells him “Guns and other weapons are being gathered. In April, we’ll take action.”

MY BACK PAGES (Mai bakku pêji) will be out in Japan on May 28th.
