The trailer for THE MUSIC NEVER STOPPED has been released online by Roadside Attractions via Apple. The movie stars JK Simmons, Lou Taylor Pucci, Julia Ormond , Cara Seymour and tells the story of Gabriel (Pucci) who suffers a brain tumour that prevents him forming new memories. With the help of his father (Simmons) he must embrace all his sons new choices and beliefs and the only way he sees connecting with his sun is through music.
The movie played last month's Sundance Festival to mixed reviews which critic only enjoyed the movie basically down to the two main leads strong performances. If you love heart warming stories with great music coming from the likes of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead and many more you'll probably enjoy this one.
The Music Never Stopped will be out in USA March 18th.
The Music Never Stopped, based on the case study "The Last Hippie" by Dr. Oliver Sacks, M.D. (Awakenings), chronicles the journey of a father and son adjusting to cerebral trauma and a lifetime of missed opportunities. Through the music that embodied the generation gap of the 1960s, and working with music therapist Dianne Daly (Ormond), the film weaves the heartwarming progress of Henry (Simmons) and Gabriel (Pucci).
