When Colin came out to make a few years ago there was much skepticism that the movie only cost £45 ($70) and now we have a Spanish movie called VAMPIRE IN THE HOLE which claims to have only cost 1Euro ((£0.80)! This movie is trying to be a commerically viable film and when you watch the trailer you can see it does look rather good but looking at the qaulity of it, there's no way you could say it was done for 1 Euro. Unless the film company Lasoga Films have been given charitable donations or simply people have given there service for free Im more skeptical about the budget for this movie.
I would only question the funding but this is a low budget affair and a very good looking movie and using vampirism as a influenza type virus instead of going for the post apoclayptic route, its I AM Legend the book version which has the infected as Vampires not zombies as many people refer them too taking in elements of District 9 like with racism. Overall a very effective movie which I am very keen to check out.
Vampirism is a newly discovered viral illness whose initial stages spread as quickly as the flu. May has just turned seventeen and has become infected. She is the only vampire in her family and her neighborhood and, as such, her life changes dramatically. In her daily surroundings she is now seen as a monster: kids throw stones at her and she is bullied at work. However, May tries to adapt by following the rules and norms set by the government on infected citizens who wish to fit back into society. Opinion is divided about what should be done with the "infected". Should one accept them, or reject them? And this division foreshadows a future war where racism and intolerance will hasten the inevitable, definitive rift between humans and vampires.
So whats your thoughts on this movie?
