CANNES 2011: Trailer For Korean Short GHOST

Lee Jung-Jin's  (a.k.a. Ma Dahci) short movie GHOST has been selected for the Short Film section for next week's 64th Cannes Film Festival. The movie is one of 9 different movies from 9 different countries fighting out for the e Short Film Palme d’Or at the closing ceremony on May 22, with the jury lead by French filmmaker Michael Gondry

Ghost is a 10 minute thriller bout a criminal hiding in an empty house in a deserted town where gentrification has been discontinued. Below is a 60 second trailer for the movie and looking at the trailer it does look like a dark film with possibly suggestion of even cannibalism as we see the criminal eat and bones which lie in front of him too.

Ghost becomes the sixth entry from South Korea in this year's film festival: . Three feature films ― Kim Ki-duk’s Arirang,Na Hong-jin’s Yellow Sea, and Hong Sang-soo’s The Day He Arrives ― will be shown in Un Certain Regard section. Son Tae-gyum’s Fly by Night was also invited to Cinfondation selection, and  Ghost been the only Korean film invited to the competition section of the film festival this year.
