Are you pissed off the recent outburst from Lars Von Trier? Adore Gaspar Noe's Enter The Void? Or even worship all things David Cronenberg? Do strive to see the next big experimental/arthouse filmmaker rise from the ashes? The National Film School of Denmark is one of those schools you may find that New Von Trier, Noe or Cronenberg, a school not scared to confront controversy, be experimental or try to be something new and refreshing to an industry overcrowded with remakes & comic book movies.
With the schools final projects now in full swing we get a chance to see what the school has to offer and there latest creation is M FOR MARKUS, is the graduation film from Ali Abbasi and it seems the above mentioned filmmakers seem to be the inspiration behind this. He does however have a Danish oscar winner producing this flick, Paw Charlie Ravn whose award winning animation To Venner is doing the rounds of the world's animation/film festivals.
Check out the teaser and trailer for M FOR MARKUS and is it me there seem's a big Gaspar Noe inspiration here.?
