"Neighbours, Every One Needs Good Neighbours!" Trailer For GOOD NEIGHBOURS Starring Jay Baruchel

In 2009 Jay Baruchel made a bit of a name for himself in indie drama The Trotsky playing a University student who believed he was a descendent of Russian idioligist Leon Trotsky. That movie was directed by Jacob Tierney and the 2 have paired up again in GOOD NEIGHBOURS. I haven't seen The Trotsky but reading the online buzz for the movie , Baruchel & Tierney did get alot of praise for that particular movie but sadly we can't say the same for this one. Good Neighbours is a psychological thriller/horror and the trailer below which Magnolia Pictures have released doesn't give the movie much hope, actually sort of gives the whole plot away! Baruchel has always been seen as a the nerdy type character but as a creepy character we're on a loosing streak here, this movie just looks like one of those movies that appear from nowhere in your cinema but a few days later it's scrapped.

No word on a release date in UK or Ireland but if it does it will be straight to DVD, in North America GOOD NEIGHBOURS will be released on VOD 24th June then in cinemas from July 29th.Scott Speedman, Emily Hampshire and Xavier Dolan also star.

Neighbors Spencer (Scott Speedman) and Louise (Emily Hampshire) have bonded over their fascination with a recent string of murders terrorizing their community. When a new tenant named Victor (Jay Baruchel) arrives in the building, all three quickly hit it off. But as they soon discover, each of them has their own dark secret. As the violence outside mounts, the city retreats indoors for safety. But the more time these three spend together in their apartment building, the clearer it becomes that what they once thought of as a safe haven is as dangerous as any outside terrors they could imagine. Smart dialogue, strong performances and jarring thrills give this film all the elements of a great mystery.
