With yesterday’s news revealing that Terrence Malick’s THE TREE OF LIFE has finally received a UK&Irish release date, finally we can look forward to the movie. Now British & Irish movies can can now jump onboard the movies buzz and actually now enjoy the new footage, trailers, clips been released but like movie fans world wide one thing we all want is to try understand what The Tree Of Life is All About. A few days ago we posted online a featurette explaining the story in a little more detail and today via Yahoo Movies we have another slightly longer featurette which has some of the cast and crew talk about the experience working on the movie as well expand a little further into the story’s plot too.
So jump onboard the buzz train for the movie and roll on July 8th when THE TREE OF LIFEwill be released!
From Terrence Malick, the acclaimed director of such classic films as Badlands, Days of Heaven and The Thin Red Line, The Tree of Life is the impressionistic story of a Midwestern family in the 1950′s. The film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father (Brad Pitt). Jack (played as an adult by Sean Penn) finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith. Through Malick’s signature imagery, we see how both brute nature and spiritual grace shape not only our lives as individuals and families, but all life.
