Watch 3 Clips For French Arthouse Sci-fi CARRE BLANC

When it comes to film festivals I have the advantage of Glasgow and Edinburgh virtually on my doorstep. When it comes to film choice majority of people will go for the big movies when myself I like to mix up with some of the lesser movies which alot of the time end up be the stars of the festival. Last month's Cannes festival the attention was on the big hitters but one of the festival's highlight's was one of the smaller movies CARRE BLANC.

The movie is the debut feature for Jean Baptiste Leonetti, a dark  arthouse sci-fi tale which blends incongruity of Franz Kafka with the visual mastery of Tarkovsky. Its a grim look at a possible future where Capitalism go ape (much like the tories in UK) but what I like the the coldness of the architecture, interiors it feels like one of the futurist visions of communism or even neo-nazism from post world war 2 true vision of Big Brother's utopia.

Thanks to Twitch they have gotten there hands on 3 clips from CARRE BLANC which introduces us to the movies main character Phillipe (Majid Hives, adult Phillipe Sam Bouijila) in 3 different parts of his life. Check the clips out below, CARRE BLANC has been scheduled for a September 7th release date in France.
