Werewolves, bats, bugs, nasty orphans, zombies, homicidal blind dates and bananas that have gone bananas – yes, it’s the FrightFest short film strand, an eclectic mix of worldwide cutting edge short films, this year presented by Horror Channel.
Among the prime cuts are the sinister LITTLE MUNCHKIN, from the director of forthcoming Jaime Winstone flick ELFIE HOPKINS, AXELLE CAROLYN’S directorial debut, THE LAST POST, starring Jean Marsh, and the demented BANANA MOTHERF**KER from the team behind the brilliant PAPA WRESTLING.
They may be short – but they’re not sweet!
Horror Channel, part of the CBS Chello Zone portfolio of channels, has been involved with FrightFest for the past ten years and in August will be screening a ‘BEST OF THE FEST’ season - details of which will be announced soon.
Chello Zone's Chief Programming Officer Chris Sharp said today: “Our association with FrightFest goes back ten years and the values of the festival and our channels still have as much in common now as they did then. Horror Channel is all about providing fans of Horror films with new, surprising and high quality entertainment.
