Full Trailer for Jean Baptiste Leonetti's Dystopian Chiller CARRE BLANC
Where can you find the dark absurd comedy of Franz Kafka, The visionary eye of Tarkovsky and crazy humorous commentary on Capitalism gone wrong (isn't that a Conservative party broadcast then?)? Simple in Jean Baptiste Leonetti's dystopian arthouse science fiction flick CARRE BLANC.
Back in June we gave you 3 clips into this twisted, grim world and I adore the coldness of the architecture, interiors it feels like one of the futurist visions of communism or even neo-nazism from post world war 2 true vision of Big Brother's utopia. I haven't seen this yet but reading the comments from those people who have seen this can't stop praising it, some going as far as saying it was one of the best movies at this years Cannes festival. I would go as far as saying it looks more intriguing than Malick's The Tree Of Life which was a visually beautiful movie but lacked shape, form, decent plot.
CARRE BLANC does have a slogan but I think by telling you what it is may give away the nasty little suprise twist, all Ill say is be strong! This movie doesn't have UK release nor a American one neither but on September 7th you can catch this when it goes on release in France then screened at The Sitges Film Festival this October.
