See the breathtaking trailer for Michael Winterbottom's Trishna

Set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on the 9th of September is British Director Michael Winterbottom's new India-centric feature Trishna, and boy does the trailer look gorgeous. It's a wordless montage of exquisite scenes from all over India, from rural landscapes to bustling urban cityscapes and underground bars and dance studios.

Of course the jewel in the centre of this crown is the ravishing Freida Pinto, and Cinematographer Marcel Zyskind has lit her and her surroundings beautifully. Quite the departure from the rancid sleaze of The Killer Inside Me or the realist mockumentary of The Trip, but we expect no less from this chameleon of cinema.

The story of the tragic relationship between the son of a property developer and the daughter of an auto rickshaw owner.
