China's 3D industry is about to get a big boost with the arrival of Tsui Hark's latest film. Lensed and shot specifically for big set pieces and lavish period detail which will give IMAX moviegoers added wow, Flying Swords of Dragon Gate looks to be the next big film wuxia fans have been waiting for, though the Western world will have to wait till next year, as the release date is currently set for December in it's homeland.
The film is a re-imagining of New Dragon Gate-Inn, which follows a Ming Dynasty general (Jet Li) in his battles with his power-hungry rival. Watch the teaser below, courtesy of The Playlist.
