Everyday Sunshine: The Story Of Fishbone Trailer. Simply Best Rock Band in The World!

In 1993, 18 years of age left school, now in college, in need of inspiration on one day on my way home for some reason I decided to make my way into my local music shop and it was the day my my inspiration appeared as well as musical education graded top marks. This was the day I bought Give A Monkey A brain He'll Swear He Is The Centre Of The Universe album and there's only one band eho can give a album a name like that....Fishbone!

You have to go back to the 1980's When the world was ruled by 2 dictators Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Regan racial and economic tensions were high, a all black group challenged those sterotypes to bring one of the most original bands you'll ever hear on cd or live, combining punk, funk, ska, reggae, metal and rock, they inspired a whole genration of new bands. Now 25 years on since the first album fans of the band, fans of great music can now experience the story behind the band in EVERYDAY SUNSHINE: The Story of Fishbone.

Its sad t believe Fishbone could have been the biggest rock band in the world but record label trouble, inhouse fighting, drugs, abuse destroyed those chances but like any great band they roll the sleeves up and start again. This documentary is narrated by Laurence Fishburne ( i wonder how he got this jobs?! mmm!) the movie looks back at the bands history, inspiration and the struggles they face with the music industry fat cats as the merge so many style to creat a unique sound, just look at the list of people lined up to talk up the band: Flea, Gwen Stefani, Ice-T, Perry Farrell, Branford Marsalis, George Clinton, Tim Robbins, Gogol Bordello, loads more.

If your a fan of music and appreciate bands trying something different you should check this movie out when it comes your way, I do hope it comes to UK&Ireland! (limited release USA October 14th)

From the shifting faultlines of Hollywood fantasies and the economic and racial tensions of Reagan's America, Fishbone rose to become one of the most original bands of the last 25 years. With a blistering combination of punk and funk they demolished the walls of genre and challenged the racial stereotypes and political order of the music industry and the nation. Telling it like it is, the iconic Laurence Fishburne narrates EVERYDAY SUNSHINE, a story about music, history, fear, courage and funking on the one.
