LFF 2011: UK Trailer For Miranda July's THE FUTURE

Coming of Age movies are usually about teens discovering the joys as well as pains of adulthood but could you ever call a movie where the characters are in their mid thirties? Yes you can and the movie is THE FUTURE.

The movie is directed and stars Miranda July, Hamish Linklater ,David Warshofky, a story of a young couple in their mid thirties as reality strikes them there nearly 40 and start to look at life from a different perspective by adopting a cat who could die in 6 months or 5 years! I can relate to the characters as i'm of similar age those dreams, aspirations you had when you where 20, if you've not achieved them yet or your twenties just went too quick life feels cruel as you approach midlife, its frustrating emotional though some people don't mind and enjoy life as they live it. I haven't seen Me and You and everyone we know which is a slightly surreal flick and The Future looks very similar in style I would go as far as saying if you like The Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind you wil enjoy this one.

Picturehouse Films have today sent us the new UK Trailer plus a few images from the movie which is due to be released in UK&Ireland on  November 4th however the movie willmake its UK premier at next months London Film Festival.
