Its very rare for UK & Ireland to see a big feature film even animated feature before USA but it does happen most of the time its either a UK film or the release date is a few weeks before but for the trailer for this film Arrietty it was released nearly 3 months ago. Today Disney Pictures (the film's American distributor, Studio Canal in UK) have released the Official American trailer for Studio Ghibli's Secret World Of Arrietty (its American name) which is due out February 17th 2012.
Based on the classic children's story from Mary Norton The Borrower's the story of the tiny family no bigger than a mouse, who live hidden in a normal human’s home, living off things they borrow during the night in order to survive, those thing they borrow are things me or you wouldn't notice if they disappeared. Its a beautifully made animation, simple story minus all the negativity you get from majority of children's films these days and its a film the parents can enjoy with their children.
Studio Ghibli took an unique approach when it came to the dubbing if this film for the British & Irish release the voices of the characters were voiced by a British/Irish cast of Saorise Ronan( Arrietty) with Mark Strong(Pod), Olivia Coleman(Homily) and Tom Holland(Sho).Bridgit Mendler(Arrietty), Will Arnett(Pod), Amy Poehler(Homily), David Henrie(Sho),Hiromasa Yonebayashi (Ghibli's youngest director) directed the film with Hayao Miyazaki-san co writing the film.
