LIFF 2011: Another oddball trailer For ALPS

I remember my first Glasgow Film Festival was an learning experience for myself with a press pass. What should I see? When? But if I go then I'll miss that film, I would just spend hours glancing through the festival programme picking flicks then having second thoughts but one film throughout stood out it was Yorgos Lanthimos‘ Dogtooth. For some reason no fault of mines the film was changing screening times like elmda marcos changes shoes and it eventually got cancelled but now Lanthimos follow up film ALPS is here and we have a second trailer!

The dark surreal satire of Dogtooth is still there but still it will be a whole different ball game though fans of Lanthimos' previous films will enjoy this. If you don't know how weird this film is check out Pierre's post for the first teaser trailer and then watch this one and you'll understand.....well sort off! Alps doesn't have a UK release date just yet however if your attending the London Film Festival which is taking place just now the film is playing then on October 27th the film gets its cinematic release in its native Greece.

A Nurse, a Paramedic, a Gymnast and her Coach have formed a service for hire. They stand in for dead people by appointment, hired by the relatives, friends, or colleagues of the deceased. The company is called Alps while their leader, the Paramedic, calls himself Mont Blanc.
Although the Alps members operate under a discipline regime demanded by their leader, the Nurse doesn't... From the director of the Oscar-nominated DOGTOOTH
