UK Trailer For Luc Besson’s THE LADY

December will be chapping on our doors in the next 10 plus hours the big boys or potential award contenders will start to appear to make there considered for February's Oscar ceremony. One of those films may not be considered as one of the big boys but the potential this film has as well as the director behind it, there is a good chance it will do well, Luc Besson's THE LADY.The film stars Michelle Yeoh(Sunshine) as Aung San Suu Kyi  Burma's national heroine, David Thewlis (Harry Potter) plays her husband Michael Aris and Michael's twin brother Anthony, her struggle kept her separated from her family but a her devotion to democracy in her homeland and strong love between her and her husband kept her going , this certainly looks the career best from Hollywood's best known Asian actress.
THE LADY is the extraordinary story of Aung San Suu Kyi and her husband, Michael Aris.
It is also the epic story of the peaceful quest of the woman who is at the core of Burma’s democracy movement. Despite distance, long separations, and a dangerously hostile regime, their love endures until the very end.
A story of devotion and human understanding set against a backdrop of political turmoil that continues today.
THE LADY was written over a period of three years by Rebecca Frayn. Interviews with key figures in Aung San Suu Kyi’s entourage enabled her to reconstruct for the first time the true story of Burma’s national heroine.

Entertainment Film Distributors have sent us the official UK film trailer and they will be releasing the film December 30th.
